His role involves setting the company’s overall direction, ensuring good governance, building and nurturing external relationships with stakeholders like customers, business partners, and the media. As chairman Gary also acts as a mentor and advisor to the MD, Claire Reid, helping to guide the senior team and overseeing crucial areas like business development, assignment delivery and succession by planning. Gary ultimately champions the company culture and foundational values, ensuring they are embedded throughout the organisation.
Gary Irvine, a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Recruiters, is an experienced executive recruiter and business owner. He is the founder/owner of 4C Executive Placement, a UK and Ireland leading search firm.
Prior to establishing 4C, Gary was also the founder and CEO of Diamond Recruitment Group (DRG) for 25 years , Northern Ireland’s largest recruitment agency business. Established in 1989, Diamond Recruitment placed well over 2,500 people in temporary employment every day and hundreds every year in permanent employment, making it a top 20 employer in NI. The firm specialised in recruitment, HR services and managed workforce solutions.
Gary is also a co-founder director in software company SeeMeHired.com (SMH) a cloud based ATS / all-in-one end-to-end new employee hiring and onboarding solution.
