4c at CBI Enterprise Clubs, in partnership with PwC

This month CBI, in partnership with PwC, launched CBI Enterprise Clubs in Northern Ireland for SMEs from a range of sectors.
The Programme has been tailored specifically for SMEs headquartered in Northern Ireland and aims to support the growth and development of small and entrepreneurial companies, with a turnover under £10m – the lifeblood of the local NI economy. Shared peer-to-peer learning forms a large part of the programme,
In session one, PwC’s chief economist, Esmond Birnie, set the scene with a matter-of-fact political and economic snapshot. Some member’s described the prospect and potential impact of rising business costs with National Living Wage, Training Levy, Auto-enrolment and Holiday Pay, while others were keen to highlight the opportunities they has experienced. Brian Dolaghan followed this up with an overview of the help/advice/guidance available from his department at Invest NI.
