Belfast Waterfront and Ulster Hall Ltd is the provider of world class conference, arts and entertainment venues and as it seeks to enhance its profile it is looking to appoint a Director of Event Operations to its senior management team.

The Director of Event Operations will play a pivotal role in the success of the BWUH supporting the delivery of strategic objectives and transformational change to ensure sustainable growth. The Director will be accountable for the delivery of high class services to clients; leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team including outsourced service providers and contractors to deliver a range of high quality services across both venues.

The successful candidate will be commercially astute with experience of leading change. They will also possess the following skills and attributes:

  • A proven track record and experience at senior management level in operations, facilities or technical production management
  • Experience of effective management and control of significant budgets and meeting financial targets
  • A proven track record of process implementation and process improvement.
  • Contract management experience to involve appointing, reviewing and managing multiple outsourced service providers
  • Experience of managing and motivating a large multidisciplinary team
  • A third level qualification in a relevant subject, such as Event or Facilities Management, Business Management, Engineering-related discipline or equivalent qualification
