4c Executive is partnering up with a prominent renewable and environmental company as they seek to appoint a Group Finance Director.

Our client is renowned for its reliability and commitment to environmental sustainability and has a focus on responsible waste disposal practices. The company plays a vital role in helping businesses manage their waste effectively while contributing to a cleaner and greener environment. With a £25M investment plan over the next three years, our client is experiencing solid growth and is rapidly expanding to keep up with demand.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Group Finance Director will be an integral part of the leadership team working with and across the business to deliver its financial objectives and ambitious growth strategy. The Group Finance Director will provide strong commercial leadership and financial rigour to drive business growth, ensuring decisions are made in the best interests of shareholders.

The role holder will be a credible and strategic finance leader, someone who thrives when leading a multi-faceted team, with strong communication skills and robust commercial acumen. The role holder will also have the following qualifications and experience:

• A fully qualified accountant with professional registration with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ICAI or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years post qualification experience with a track record of rapid progression into a senior finance leadership role and having contributed directly to the overall business strategy and commercial success.
• Experience in a high growth business with significant capex investment and implementing and embedding robust processes to ensure financial rigour.
• Experience in a dynamic and competitive, sector, ideally engineering, manufacturing  or construction.
• Demonstrable, successful track record of leading, coaching and developing a finance team to achieve business objectives.
