Our client is a leading manufacturer of products for blue chip customers across the construction, merchant and utilities sectors. They have enjoyed a period of rapid growth and evolution and are at the forefront of development in their market sector. The company is a modern, dynamic and progressive organisation yet they are people-centric, placing their team and their customers at the centre of what they do.

To support this, 4c Executive seek to appoint an Operations Director to their senior management team, helping shape the existing and future direction of the business. The Operations Director will lead all on-site and off-site operations and resource planning, including optimising workloads to improve overall efficiency and to meet customer needs. You will formulate and deliver annual strategic targets, lead continuous improvement activities and deliver world class H&S management as well as creating a customer and quality focused culture. To ensure the continued growth of the organisation, you will review manufacturing and logistics operations to optimise performance and efficiencies as well as minimising operational costs and overheads.

Candidates should possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Significant experience in a senior operations or production role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Background in setting and measuring KPIs and performance management against these.
  • Evidence of capacity planning to meet delivery performance and of successfully increasing this.
  • Track record in managing organisational change.
  • 3rd level qualification in Production, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Accreditation in a continuous improvement methodology would be desirable.
