Rarely does such a senior and prominent role become available in Northern Ireland
Attractive compensation and benefits package
With the planned retirement of the current CEO in 2018, the Board of Belfast Harbour Commissioners is seeking to appoint a highly experienced and accomplished professional to lead the organisation along its continued programme of strategic investment and growth.
As the principal trading gateway to Northern Ireland, Belfast Harbour is one of the province’s most important businesses – facilitating over 70% of regional trade. Reporting directly to the Board, the CEO will lead and manage the business of BHC, developing and implementing complex strategies & business plans so as to optimise the long-term return from Belfast Harbour’s asset base and business portfolio. The role comes with a high level of responsibility across a multifaceted organisation requiring a strong business acumen and good interpersonal skills to lead the engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders at the most senior levels of trade, commerce, finance and government.
We expressly wish to hear from individuals with a track record of commercial success who have experience of managing a business with a major asset base to optimise financial outcomes, including developing and delivering significant infrastructure and/or property investment projects.
